Am finishing up my final week at the company I've worked at for the last 10 months. I'm going back into business for myself doing internet marketing. I came to the conclusion that this gig has been like an internship for me. It wasn't well paying but I learned a ton. Haven't made a ton of connections because I wasn't out in the community very much. I did get to know some clients well and helped them grow in their success.
So I'm a lame duck marketer. As I quack away, I think about what things will be like this time next week. I won't have to make the 40 minute drive in the morning and evening. I won't have to listen to eight different voices talking at the same time on the phones, meetings and ono-to-one conversations around me. And I won't miss hearing the annoying radio program from the office mate to the left.
I will miss the relationships with my co-workers. One of the things I didn't like about working for myself before was that I was alone very often. I'm planning on making provision for that as I move back to working for myself.
Wish me luck.
